Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø Learn Wacoal America product engineering standards and sewing trial.

Ø Develop fabric consumption markers, using Lectra software.

Ø Calculate trim consumption and input into Excel Spreadsheet.

Ø Prepare sewing operation breakdown at costing stage.

Ø Compile information for Cutting instructions for production packages.

Ø Receive and maintain status record for FOP/PP garments.

Ø Examine and measure FOP/PP garments in preparation for fittings.

Ø Initiate FOP/PP Evaluation comments. Arrange and participate at FOP/PP fittings.

Ø FOP/PP wash test garment examine and communicate with RMQC/factory as needed.

Ø Compile and sort information received from Design, Technical, Purchasing and Production departments in preparation for costing, salesman samples, pilot, and production packages.

Ø Review data for deficiencies, interface with MIS, Design, Technical, Purchasing and Production Departments to resolve deficiencies.

Ø Prepare packages for factories, manage related communication.

Ø Lively products: examine the quality of the garments (sewing, tags etc...)

Ø QVC products: Create Tech packs in FlexPLM.

Ø Special Projects: create and update manuals and training material.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

Ø Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Design, Apparel Production Management, Industrial Engineering.

Ø Two to Three years’ experiences in Technical Design or Engineering Department of

foundations/intimate apparel manufacturer.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

Ø Proficient computer skills essential to performance of job functions (Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Flex PLM, Lectra, Smartsheet etc...)

Ø Proactive in following up on projects and establishing and maintaining contacts.

Ø Excellent communication and analytical skills. Superior attention to details.

Flexible, able to handle multiple projects and transition between functions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
