We're looking for a talented Product Engineer I to work for us here at Tosoh Quartz, Inc..

We want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of reviewing blueprints to determine manufacturability. Review blueprints, plans and other customer documentation to develop and prepare cost effective manufacturing process.

The Role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and based in our Portland, Oregon office, as the Product Engineer I you will be responsible for while working under general supervision, you will develop and design a product/product family. You will ensure production procedures/processes efficiently utilizing materials and personnel. You will test finished product for quality purposes and recommend changes to product specifications as necessary.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Product Engineer I role will have relevant experience of reviewing blueprints to determine manufacturability. Review blueprints, plans and other customer documentation to develop and prepare cost effective manufacturing process.

You'll also need experience of:

• Providing technical services to customers regarding manufacturability of proposed new designs
• Soliciting technical advice as required from resources within the company to assist in determining a manufacturable process
• Designing and performing engineering studies, test, and experiments for products/processes
• Assisting in the document control flow of the approved procedures
• Leading development and production teams from a technical and cost basis

- Researching, designing and building equipment for manufacturing- related processes. Appling mechanical theory, mechanical testing procedures and related knowledge to layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify developmental and production equipment

• Maintaining awareness and control of project cost, quality, scope, and schedule to ensure on-time delivery of the project within budget. Preparing cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluate cost factors

In addition, it's essential that you possess the following:

• The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form
• The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• The ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Pay: $65,083.00 - $78,990.00 per year
