Job Description

The Product Copywriter is responsible for telling the customer how our products benefit them, and for creating the initial Product Benefits & Mockup to be used by the content team to develop the product listings on the website. The Product Copywriter will also manage the approval process and ensure that each step of approval is being completed in a timely manner by Project Owners, Director of New Product Development, and CEO/COO.

The Product Copywriter will also be responsible for creating, editing, and managing the review/approval process for the product instruction and specifications docs with information provided by the Project Owners. The Product Copywriter will work directly with the Graphic Artist during the final document creation of the instructions and specifications.

Required Qualifications

  • BA in English or other writing intensive degree or equivalent professional writing experience
  • 3 years experience in Product Copywriting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ecommerce copywriting experience

What You’ll Do

  • Tell the customer how our products benefit them
  • Write assembly instructions, product specifications, and documents
  • Write Product video scripts
  • Assist with product naming process
  • Track & manage approval process of above documents
  • Attend team meetings
  • Work closely with project owners and graphic designer

Position Details

  • Compensation: $50,000-$80,000 DOE
  • Type: Full-time
  • Employee Status: Regular
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week
  • Location: Austin, Texas

Currently is a hybrid position and follows a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs. In the future this role may become 100% in-office if business needs change. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with UPLIFT Desk.
