Job Overview:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the purchase of goods and services on purchase request orders submitted by the various departments withing the project purview. This individual is responsible for a myriad of processes including supply chain management, evaluating suppliers and contract negotiation.

Job Duties:

• Receive and submit purchase requisitions (PR's) for quotes.
• Process purchase orders once quote is received
• Follow-up to ensure materials/services are received in good quality and quantity requested and delivered to the right place at the right time.
• Evaluate suppliers to ensure they are in the system (JDE, APTIM Advantage)
• Negotiate cost to ensure that approved purchases are cost-efficient.
• Maintain good relations with customers/vendors
• Reconcile purchasing card receipts.
• Maintain purchase order files to ensure compliance

Other Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Interact with employees and others in the workplace in an appropriate manner.
• Use a computer for tasks such as communicating by email and preparing reports and work schedules using MS Office Suite software.
• Review and analyze data and information concerning Bids and Purchase items
• Plan, prioritize and monitor Purchase order, Pcard payment activities.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience
• High School Diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
