Overview:

Skills Alliance is representing an early-stage biotechnology company with novel micro-technology for ultra-sensitive genomic analysis. Right now our client is looking for a highly organized Purchasing specialist to support raw material purchasing for their R&D and Manufacturing activities. Under the supervision of the Lab and Operations Manager, the Purchasing Agent will perform a variety of purchasing and inventory tracking tasks necessary to ensure efficient functioning of their facility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Must be very comfortable working with and implementing technology platforms
• Versed in ERP/MRP (experience with Odoo a plus)
• Tech savvy with general business tools: Google Suite
• First-rate organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A critical thinker with demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Experience with biology lab operations helpful but not required

Responsibilities:

• Issuing requests for quotations, negotiating, purchasing, coordination of submittals for purchasing approvals and expediting delivery schedules
• Materials planning and reception
• Global supply chain management
• Tracking of suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Analyzing spend activity and identifying opportunities to aggregate demand, standardize, and minimize costs
• Inventory tracking in collaboration with the Lab and Operations Manager
• Shipping logistics management for domestic and international shipments

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
