SALARY: $44,800 - 50,400 per year

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the inventory levels of certain production supplies and forecasting the need of production-related material. This position works with the Operations Managers and Supply Chain Manager to coordinate the procurement of all materials necessary for production. The Procurement Coordinator is the primary contact for suppliers as it relates to inventory needs. This position monitors several internal and external databases, including OBeer and other AB software platforms to ensure data and order accuracy. This position plays a vital role in the supply/demand environment and is a collaborator with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure DBBC production remains on schedule.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Uses multiple tools, especially MRP and Future Inventory Status Analysis to determine material needs to support operations.
  • Places Purchase Orders in a timely and accurate manner to ensure supply to meet plan.
  • Track and follow up Purchase Order status to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Escalate issues appropriately and proactively to resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain a production schedule in Obeer and use knowledge of material availability to assess in real time change feasibility to the schedule.
  • Work with Operations team to track operations progress and update schedule and material needs as necessary.
  • Create Bills of Material and maintain master data of planned items to ensure smooth operations and adequate visibility.
  • Perform inventory counts or work with the correct operations department to perform inventory counts. Work with Supply Chain Manager to adjust inventory as necessary to maintain system accuracy.
  • Stage material for operations use to help maintain FIFO and batch tracking.
  • Perform forecasting of material needs and give forecasts to vendors based on estimated long-term production plan.
  • Drive improvements to the role, for example reducing material obsolescence, increasing schedule flexibility, or creating vendor management techniques.
  • Work with Supply Chain Manager on inventory, procurement, and sourcing strategy, such as setting inventory level targets, assessing sourcing options, driving supplier improvement, and improving service level to the operations team.
  • Work with Operations team on new material planning and acceptance testing.
  • Problem solve when discrepancies occur.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve shipping inaccuracies.
  • Monitor shipment information with the Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Supervisors.
  • Process financial documents to A/P in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma required
  • College degree preferred and or equivalent manufacturing, supply chain or analyst experience.
  • Virginia Driver’s License
  • Must be 21-years of age
  • It is critical that this person be organized, disciplined, independent, and take ownership of the role.
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing industry as it relates to supply, demand, and production, especially efficiencies, changeover times, inventory turns, reverse logistics.
  • Knowledge of Obeer preferred.
  • Sound analytical skills (mathematics, organization, etc.).
  • The ability to contribute to a high-quality work environment for employees.
  • The ability to deal tactfully with difficult suppliers/stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of business English and spelling.
  • Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in office-related software.
  • Office equipment used includes computer, collaboration tools such as Zoom or Teams, copier, printer, laminator, and scanner.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
