Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of various procurement sourcing tools, services & processes, and then maintain the on-going functionality.
  • Create, run, and analyze reports for supply base activities.
  • Prepare enterprise-wide rollup information on various projects. Write queries to extract business system data; analyze and summarize this data as needed for projects.
  • Assemble and distribute RFQ packages, analyze pricing proposals from potential suppliers, communicate results to team members and maintain pricing in business system.
  • Prepare and keep track of project support materials.
  • Participate in projects such as organizing supplier meetings, preparing presentations and supporting sourcing/cost savings initiatives (coordination, tracking etc.).
  • Support multiple business units across the Federal Signal organization.
  • Perform other duties, assignments and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required, emphasis in Supply Chain is preferred or Operations Management or other related area required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience; Experience in manufacturing facility highly desirable.
  • Must have experience within related purchase commodities associated with OEM mobile equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as this position interacts at all levels of the organization and with external companies / suppliers / customers.
  • Proven ability to extract data from various databases and manual resources, identify trends and gaps in data and prepare cohesive and thorough summary and proposals utilizing tending analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong cost analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce coherent, accurate and comprehensive information with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in use of Excel; Daily working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
