Job description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking two Processing Technicians to support the Facility Licensing and Investigations Section of the Healthcare Quality and Safety Branch. These Processing Technicians will be responsible for supporting processing functions for initial and renewal licensing application materials for approximately 28 healthcare facility classifications and upwards of 2,000 healthcare facility licenses.
Responsibilities of the Processing Technicians include, but are not limited to, processing of applications for certification and licensure of health care facilities, maintaining application files, processing, and reviewing incoming documents to determine acceptability to meet federal requirements and agency policies, entering and tracking pertinent information into the state and federal databases, and preparing reports for monitoring compliance with timeframes.

The positions are conveniently located at our offices at 410 Capitol Avenue in Hartford. These are full-time, first shift, 40 hour per week positions with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday. The work assignment will be in the office to start and then there may be some opportunity for a partial telework schedule. Flexible/alternate work schedules are available.
