Voyant Beauty - Ridgefield is located outside the world capital for fashion and style, New York City. Our facility is a leading producer and manufacturing innovator for OTC, high-performance skin care treatments, hair care, bath, and body formulations. We are looking to add a Process Engineer to our customer centric team. You’ll have the opportunity to help develop high-performance formulas and lead our customers within the health and beauty landscape to manufacture their products.

• Identify and implement process efficiencies by applying chemical and chemical engineering principles, 5S, and Kaizen events.
• Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output while reducing costs.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of product properties and formulas.
• Conduct bench and pilot batch activities for new product, restages, and existing products.
• Assist in the transfer and scale up of new formulas from R&D and Compounding.
• Participate in Pre-Pilot and Post-Pilot production meetings.
• Collaborate with Chemist to write manufacturing procedures to optimize production of formulas while ensuring quality, aesthetics, and batch to batch consistency.
• Ensure safe and effective procedures followed in compliance of cGMP.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in a related process development role in personal care industry
• Hands-on experience working with the manufacturing process and familiarity with equipment
• Proven track record of successful implementation of process improvements
• Goal – oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Lean, 5S System, or Kaizen training and understanding; Six Sigma Certification a plus
• Bilingual, English & Spanish a plus
