Probation Officer This position supervises a caseload of clients from the Manatee County Judicial System, including any all aspects to help clients to a successful resolution of their case. This position attends court weekly. Must be able to be flexible as clients report and call throughout the day. Probation Officer work in a case management system and prepare reports daily. Must be able to work with a diverse population of clients and variety of co-workers.

What You Will Do


  • Work with clients one on one to successfully complete their terms of probation.
  • Attend court and report to the Judiciary about the terms of probationer’s court cases
  • Help with all the units within the Probation Division
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable

Minimum Qualifications

Required


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, criminology, or related human services field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in rehabilitative counseling or the criminal justice field.
  • Valid driver's license with valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.
  • In accordance with area of assignment, such as Offender Work Program, valid Florida CDL, Class B license with Passenger (P) endorsement may be required.
Desired Skills
  • Bi-lingual in English or Spanish
