Expedition Technology is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Principal Systems Engineer to join our team! The Systems Engineer will lead teams of engineers in the development and deployment of innovative software solutions for a variety of Digital Signal Processing, SIGINT, and EW systems. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about learning and applying emerging technologies to solve our DoD and IC customers’ hardest problems. This person will have the opportunity to shape the strategy and growth of our programs by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external customers and effectively communicating with our team.

In this position, you will:

  • Assume overall responsibility for technical excellence and quality across portfolio of projects. Provides technical leadership on several simultaneous efforts.
  • Oversee design, development, documentation, and testing of complex software systems from concept development through fielding and sustainment.
  • Develop and translates stakeholder requirements into verifiable requirements for the technical execution team.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with external and internal customers and partners – builds collaborative relationships through effective communications and outreach
  • Participate in solutioning for new programs, proposals, pre-proposal efforts to develop concepts and mission requirements into viable system architectures for successful proposals and program execution.
  • Assist with development of technical roadmaps and strategy – including product development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline and 8 or more years of experience
  • Active Top Secret security clearance. TS/SCI preferred.
  • Technical background in development of software-based RF, Wireless, SIGINT, Communications, EW, or Radar systems.
  • Background and working level knowledge of digital signal processing, waveform development, RF/microwave design, data analytics, software defined radios and software development is a must
  • Experience and/or strong understanding of machine learning for modulation recognition, emitter fingerprinting, anomaly detection, precision navigation and/or patterns of life analysis.
  • Experience in developing customer-facing documentation of specifications, ICDs, design reviews, and test documentation. Develops a wide variety of contractual and internal documentation and reports.
  • Knowledge of software system Information Assurance (IA) accreditation processes and Application Security and Development STIG guidelines.
