About this opportunity
This position prepares the press for print jobs as assigned, loads appropriate film and ink, and ensures quality checking film for blots/errors. In addition, this position is responsible for moving completed jobs to the pallet for pick up.10-hour Night Shift: 9:00 pm – 7:00 am, Alternating shifts of the work week

What you will do

• Prepares press and all job components for print job, such as anilox, ink, film, etc.
• Follows spec sheet for colors and gear sizes to use
• Checks ink color and placement on film then adjusts and fine tunes anilox rolls and plates to ensure job is printing according to specifications
• Checks UPC codes, ensuring they are scannable
• Responsible for managing and handling hazardous waste.
• Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements
• Performs preventative maintenance tasks on machine
• Performs rework as necessary

What you have to offer

• Previous experience operating a printing press (Flexo, Stack, Litho, Gravure)
• Ability to read a measuring tape
• Desire to learn
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple and concise instructions or information
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Additional details

• Overtime may be required during heavy volume seasons
• This is a manufacturing environment requiring wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and steel toe-covered shoes (provided by TC Lenexa), as well as hearing protection
• Within this manufacturing environment, inks and solvents often create a strong odor
