Banyan Treatment Centers is currently recruiting for a Prep-Cook to join our team in Lake Worth, FL .

Schedules Available:

The* Prep-Cook *provides food services in a residential environment, while communicating with and accessing the support of professional staff. Some job duties include:

• Collaboration with the Food Services or Dietary Manager to help with the development of menus.
• Maintaining cleanliness of dining room and kitchen in accordance to sanitary and with national and local standards.
• Ordering of food, as needed by Food Services or Dietary Manager.
• Food prep and handling.
• Ensuring proper shut down and open of Kitchen and all Kitchen equipment.
• Preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat).
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods, grilling, baking, boiling
• Knowledge of cross contamination of foods
• Knowledge of dishwashing procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A passion for helping others.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in the area of sanitation, hygiene, food preparation.
