Pre-Trial Navigator - Leaders in Community Alternatives, Inc. – Sacramento, CA

Leaders in Community Alternatives, Inc. (LCA) is a criminal justice organization which has provided re-entry services in California since 1991. LCA provides Employment Services, CBT groups, runs day reporting centers and electronic Monitoring services throughout California.

We are currently seeking qualified applicants, with an interest in helping their community, to join our company on our Pre Trial Program in Sacramento. Job Description

The Pretrial Navigator provides one-on-one services to Sacramento County Pretrial clients and is the primary coordinator of the program with the clients.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: In addition to the responsibilities below, the Pretrial Navigator will develop Individual Program Plans (IPP), ensure follow through on linkages to community-based supports such as mental health, substance abuse treatment, benefits, housing, and other outside services.

Minimum qualifications and experience: Knowledge of services such as Housing, Substance Abuse programs, food banks etc., within Sacramento County, familiarity with current office technology (Microsoft Office, fax/copier, etc.), and access to a motor vehicle, a driver’s license and valid insurance. Prior experience working with this population and/or customer service experience is preferred.

Spanish/Bi-lingual is highly preferred.

Desirable characteristics: Well organized, Empathetic, team player, people-person, strong oral and written communication skills, integrity, intelligence, enthusiasm, an understanding and respect for the criminal justice population, and a sense of humor.

Full-time: Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Pay rate: $20.00 per hour.
