Essential Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, lead activities and classroom instruction in accordance DOE PreK curricumum that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children
• Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including the incorporation of transitions and age-appropriate opportunities
• Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health, using tools such as anecdotal notes, work sampling and checklist to record findings
• Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development
• Support implementation of behavior plans and/or IFSP/IEP goals, as appropriate
• Provide structure in the classroom by developing and clearly enforcing rules and expectations for class discussion and activitiesFollow the programs policies and procedures for student conduct and discipline
• Provide a nurturing environment and model positive behavior for students
• Other work as needed

Requirements (Must have at least one of the following):

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• NYS Teacher Certificate Birth-Grade 2 or Equivalent

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8 am to 5 pm
• Year Round Summer Included
• Follow Daycare Holiday Schedule, not DOE holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $69,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
