The Pre-K Paraprofessional position works with the Pre-K Teacher and reports to the building principal. The position supports the implementation of quality instruction and supervision to Pre-kindergarten students to enhance their understanding of the Georgia Early Learning Developmental Standards and prepare them for kindergarten and school success.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides instructional support to the PRE K Lead Teacher with large and small group instruction- transitions- and instructional activities.
- Provides assistance with set up- clean up- and maintenance of classroom environment and supports instructional activities.
- Provides support for assessment of students by monitoring students- collecting data and sharing observations with lead teacher.
- Monitors and manages student behaviors.
- Communicates effectively with all stakeholders; including but not limited to- parents- lead teacher- school- district leaders- parents- and governing agencies.
