The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall direction for their assigned clinic location including clinical and administrative personnel. This includes directing, managing, and accounting for all staff, inventory and overall day-to-day operations as needed.

Ensures their clinic is operating within the established guidelines of the company while meeting State specific Governing Body for the day-to-day office and clinical operations.

Directs and participates in the human resource management function for the department by coordinating the selection, on-boarding, orientation, retention, promotion, and performance appraisal and management processes while assuring that every employee’s skills and knowledge are verified and documented in their employee file according to policies and procedures before the individual provides health services to any patient at the Clinic.

Maintains records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department in accordance with policies and procedures.

Ensure that patients’ plan of care is individualized and appropriate, executed as written and reassessed by the appropriate health care professional when needed.

Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner.

Contribute to the progress and development of the organization’s Compliance, Infection Control, and Quality and Performance Improvement Programs to ensure the provision of quality clinical services at the Clinic.

Responds to emergency situations appropriately with competence and composure.

Assure access of employees to management for the purpose of launching complaints or sharing concerns regarding operations.

Maintain communications regarding written contracts for any and all services contracted by the Clinic with third party providers and assure that the contracted services are adhered.

Maintains regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and licensed regulations.

Ensures compliance with both regulations and Company’s policies and procedures.

Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and appropriate regulatory agencies.

Seeks and utilizes input from staff and oversees change implementation.

Responsible for financial performance of assigned clinic location including revenue, cost control and overall profitability.

Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure all clinics operate in accordance with State and Federal Compliance Programs.

Qualifications include:

Baccalaureate degree or higher in business, finance, accounting, hospital administration or or other related field required; MHA or MBA preferred

Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated progressive experience in leadership, HR Management, accounting, inventory management, and financial responsibility in a physician-led outpatient private practice required.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with The Joint Commission standards, healthcare operations, medical billing and terminology, and a certified procedural coder.
