Midwest Refuah Health Center (MRHC), is a new primary care health clinic currently applying for Look-Alike Status. They are seeking a full-time Practice Manager. The Practice Manager will oversee the establishment of a new multidisciplinary health center with services including primary care, pediatrics and behavioral health.

The Practice Manager will inspire teamwork; demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills; build rapport with diverse groups through attentive listening, demonstrated use of diplomacy and tact, and ability to navigate conflict; exhibit proven dependability; possess skills to organize, prioritize, and effectively delegate operational responsibilities of clinical areas; and creates a sense of belonging for all team members in all areas of MRHC.

Core Responsibilities:

· Manages the day-to-day operations of the health center, including front office and back-office patient service representatives, medical assistants and nurses.

· Supervises staff, resolves problems and implements approved disciplinary action. Interviews, hires, trains and conducts performance evaluations.

· Ensures patients have timely access to services through the implementation of highly effective front desk procedures, oversight of provider schedules and provider productivity, and timely and cost-effective ordering of clinic supplies.

· Reinforces effective patient intake and retention, by ensuring front desk staff and others fulfill insurance verification, primary care provider assignment, patient education about health insurance, insurance enrollment, appropriate scheduling of patients, and follow-up calls to reinforce treatment plans and return to care.

· Ensures an effective revenue stream through development and maintenance of systems to remind and notify staff of changes in managed care requirements; timely, accurate and compliant record-keeping and coding practices; and an effective working relationship with the Billing Manager

· Ensures preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly financial performance reports, identifies opportunities for improvement in financial performance, and implements appropriate actions.

· Participates in the development of grant applications that will support health center or related programs at MRHC

· Develops the practice budget in conjunction with the COO. Manages and monitors key financial and revenue cycle metrics, including staff hours, resource allocation, expense budget, patient volumes, and the revenue cycle process. Provides secondary review of reconciliation of monies being collected and deposited.

· Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of current procedures and plans with COO to develop and implement new, more efficient systems and procedures as required to improve office operations.

· Collaborates and is an active participant and leader in Center’s continuous quality improvement committee in ensuring that key quality data measures are in compliance and achieved

· Monitors patient satisfaction, identifying variances from standard, addressing and resolving patient complaints.

· Manages vendor relationships that are essential to health center operations, such as lab, pharmacy, cleaning and EHR (helps develop and manage templates and work flow)

· Works collaboratively with physicians, leadership and health professionals to accomplish organization and practice goals.

· Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

· BA in health administration, management, nursing, social work or similar field preferred

· We will consider a certified Medical Assistant with practice manager experience

· 3+ years' experience in medical practice management and electronic health records systems in an FQHC setting preferred

· Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills; and a strong mission orientation

· Collaborative team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,444.00 - $80,922.00 per year
