POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE-YAFFE LAB, Koch Institute (KI) for Integrative Cancer Research, to work in the area of glioblastoma treatment through DNA damage signaling, protein kinases, R-loop dynamics, and genotoxic therapeutics. The work involves a combination of CRISPR-based high-throughput screens and follow-up analysis of specific signaling pathways, DNA repair, and tumor responsiveness using human GBM organoids and mouse models of brain cancer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in cancer therapeutics, screening technologies, and/or systems biology who wishes to investigate cell signaling processes and their impact on cancer therapy while working with other passionate scientists in a collegial, project-driven laboratory.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Ph.D. (degree areas include DNA damage signaling, R-loop dynamics, genotoxic therapeutics, and glioblastoma treatment); experience managing an independent research project to completion and publication; experience working in signal transduction, DNA damage, cell culture, and cancer therapeutics; excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills; and ability to learn quickly, function both independently and as part of a team, and work with a variety of people from all backgrounds and at all levels of training. PREFERRED: experience with a variety of biochemistry and molecular biology techniques and with animal models of cancer and CRISPR-based technologies. Job #20352
