Summary Description

Develop, recommend and direct execution of investment programs to achieve the objectives of complex client relationships. Act independently within investment policy guidelines as well as manage portfolios for assigned relationships. Compile investment research as provided by various resources to provide support to the overall function of the Trust Investment Committee.


Essential Functions

  • Directs purchase, sale and redemption of investment portfolios
  • Directs funds placement
  • Reviews financial statements to assess fund performance
  • Perform research to assist in determining optimal investment vehicles
  • Assist with Response for Proposals requests as well as presentations for new business opportunities
  • Support and maintenance of Division's Primary and Secondary Equity and Mutual Fund List as well as performing due diligence regarding closely held securities
  • Assist Trust Administrative Officers with annual account reviews
  • Meets with existing and prospective client to review and assess financial objectives
  • Asset allocation of client portfolios
  • Provides investment support for business development activities, including client presentations
  • Coordinate overall investment research function for Trust and Wealth Management Division for presentation to Trust Investment Committee
  • Additional responsibilities to include assisting Senior Trust Portfolio Manager with special projects
  • Adherence to all regulatory compliance policies and procedures

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Familiarity with a broad range of trust services including personal trust, investment management, estate administration and investment strategies
  • Familiarity with and general knowledge of overall investment markets
  • 5 years relevant experience preferred
  • Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
  • Typically the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work


Critical Skills / Expertise

  • Experience in tax and regulatory issues
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Access, Accounting Software
  • Professional image and excellent communication skills
