JOB SUMMARY

Prepares convention facilities for meetings and banquet events per client’s requirements, i.e. set tables, chairs, risers, tablecloths and skirting, pads, pens, mints, water, glasses, ashtrays, flip charts, easels, whiteboards, chalkboards and chalk. Cleans convention facilities before and after meetings and banquets. Refreshes meeting rooms during breaks. Receive , store, and deliver incoming guest and convention packages. Transporting, setting and breakdown of dance floor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION/DUTIES % OF TIME

1. Transporting via push cart, tractor, chair/table 40.00

cart, or by hand, tables chairs, risers, cloths, and

skirting from storage areas to various convention

facilities throughout the Hotel. Transporting and

setting and breaking down dance floors.

2. Placing chairs, tables, risers, dance floors etc. per 20.00

meeting specifications, or diagram layout, in the meeting

Placing meeting condiments (pads, pens, mints, ashtrays)

on tables. Cloth the tables and skirting tables and risers.

Setting up water stations or placing water and glasses on

the tables. Breakdown of all the same.

3.Cleaning and refreshing meeting rooms during meeting 20.00

breaks (empty trash, ashtrays, refresh water, etc.).

4.Sweep, vacuum, shampoo carpet in convention rooms. 20.00

open and close air walls as needed to accommodate room

set up.

INCIDENTAL/ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

1. Bringing incoming packages from receiving dock. File package slips and place packages in storage areas. Answer calls from client requesting packages. Deliver packages to meeting rooms and guest rooms and other areas throughout the Hotel. Pickup and ship out packages at client request. Maintain file for package slips incoming and outgoing.

2. Clean, inspects and turn in for repair any damaged chairs, tables easels etc.

3. Set up and tear down meetings in Guest suites.

4. Take soiled linen and hampers from meeting rooms down to Linen Control.
