Amazon Pharmacy’s Ethics and Compliance team is seeking an experienced compliance professional to manage the Policy & Procedure (“P&P”) Governance program. This individual will have the opportunity to design, develop, implement and manage an enhanced P&P program to ensure compliance requirements are known and followed across Amazon Pharmacy. This individual will serve as the central resource for providing guidance regarding P&P governance and assistance on all aspects of the P&P management process from intake to publishing, including collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to provide support regarding P&Ps.

A successful candidate in this role will be a self-starter who is passionate about healthcare compliance and building out this function. This person should also be able to earn trust and effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the company (e.g., Pharmacy Operations, Legal, HR, Loss Prevention, Quality, and Billing). They must have strong communication skills (written and verbal) to drive P&P governance processes, including oversight to ensure P&Ps are communicated effectively for awareness and understanding of compliance and business requirements. This individual must be able to think big and be creative to deliver results; work both independently and collaboratively. This person will be expected to consistently raise the high bar of compliance and operational excellence as we rapidly grow, scale, and innovate to make Amazon Pharmacy the most customer-centric pharmacy on Earth.

Key job responsibilities
Lead and oversee Amazon Pharmacy’s P&P governance program, including monitoring the review/approval workflow process and ensuring P&P administration requirements are followed.

Provide P&P resources and support to stakeholders across Amazon Pharmacy to ensure effective implementation and adherence to P&Ps.

Review and evaluate P&Ps to identify gaps and make constructive recommendations for edits, enhancements, and additional level of detail.

Support post-publishing P&P audits to ensure proper communication/training of P&Ps and compliance with P&P requirements.

Facilitate meetings where P&Ps and related documents are reviewed for clarity, consistency, and/or approval (e.g., Policy Committee, etc.).

Manage the retention and centralization of P&Ps and ensure proper storage and accessibility across the organization.

Serve as the subject matter expert regarding P&P governance programs, including staying abreast of industry best practices and regulatory expectations.

Draft and implement clear and effective compliance documents (e.g., playbooks, policies, procedures, etc.) to ensure the P&P governance process is outlined from start to finish and understood by stakeholders.

Support responding to P&P related requests from internal and external compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.

Collect, analyze, and report key metrics related to the P&P governance program to leadership/internal oversight groups.

Assist with the development of compliance trainings tied to P&P requirements.

A day in the life
Monitor the review/approval workflow process and provide guidance regarding P&P administration requirements.

Track P&P review cycles to ensure all P&Ps receive a periodic review pursuant to applicable requirements.

Manage the P&P life-cycle of new and revised P&Ps, from intake to publishing.

Review P&Ps and provide recommendations for edits, enhancements, and additional level of detail.

Facilitate and attend meetings with key stakeholders where P&Ps and related documents are reviewed and discussed.

Respond to P&P related requests from internal and external compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.

Collect, analyze, and report key metrics related to the P&P governance program.

Experience leading and developing P&P governance programs and related frameworks
