Plant Operator-Hodgkins

Our Hodgkins location is currently searching for Plant Operators! Starting pay is $21/hr.
As an Operator, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the designed facility and will report to the Plant Supervisor. Operators’ duties will include, but aren’t limited to the following:

• Unloading trucks
• Sampling tanks
• Tank transfers
• Tank decants
• Unloading drums or boxes
• Operating centrifuge
• Operating filter press
• Operating forklift
• General plant upkeep to include custodial duties
• Interacting with drivers and coworkers in a respectable manner
• Performing all tasks in a safe and cautious manner
• Following direction from shift supervisors
• Following safety procedures and standard operating procedures at all times
• Other duties as assigned

Products you will encounter:

• Most hydrocarbon products and other hazardous materials
• Various chemicals
• Hazardous and non-hazardous wastes
• Oily water

Materials and services offered by Circon Environmental require high level of awareness and attention to detail. New hire employees will receive training in the proper handling and procedures associated with the products handled and services offered. After training period, employees of Circon Environmental must have the ability to physically perform his/her duties within reason without assistance.
Physical Requirements

• Be able to lift and/or drag 3” or larger hose
• Must be able to pass physical (requirements to be determined)
• Be able to climb stairs and/or ladders and pass a Functional Strength Evaluation
• Be able to meet the fall protection requirements
• Be able to stand and work on your feet for the majority of your shift (less breaks)
• Be able to work outside and in any weather condition, if given appropriate attire

Training Requirements

• Be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test (FIT)/Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
• Be able to pass a HazWopper training class

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
