Buckhorn lake State Resort Park is hiring to fill a position for a water and sewage plant operator I. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of a sewage treatment plant, pumps and lift stations at a state resort park. Buckhorn lake State Resort Park boast a lodge overlooking beautiful Buckhorn Lake with 36 rooms and 5 cottages ranging from 2 to 3 bedroom, we also offer a full-service restaurant, a conference center and meeting rooms for meetings and events, we offer fishing, boating, swimming, mini golf, and hiking opportunities.
Job duties include:

Job duties include:
- Operation and maintenance of a sewage treatment plant including pumps, lift stations, filters, UV lights and other operating equipment.
- Collects wastewater samples, performs tests, and adds prescribed chemicals.
- Inspects gauges and records information. Maintains required records and reports and submits them as needed in a timely fashion.
- Performs general maintenance on related equipment and work areas around the plant and lift stations.
- Proper procurement of needed supplies, equipment, and chemicals.
- Work alongside team members and staff in all areas to accomplish the goals of the park including assisting in mowing, weedeating, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, carpentry, and other general maintenance.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have one year in the operation of a water and/or sewage plant.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must have a valid Class I (or higher) water treatment operator's license and/or a Class I (or higher) wastewater operator's license as issued by the Kentucky Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet. Must maintain any required licensure (s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
