You Will:
Reporting directly to the PIP-II Technical Integration Manager, the PIP-II In-kind Contribution Coordinator provides support in the coordination of in-kind contributions to the PIP-II Project by international partners (“partners”, hereafter). Serves as the principle point of contact for the in-kind contributions project scope. As part of the PIP-II Technical Integration Group, works closely with the Technical Integration Manager, Project Manager, International partners, quality assurance, Logistics Manager, and PIP-II sub-project technical leads to complete the successful delivery of in-kind contributions into the Project.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supports partners and sub-project leads with development of technical integration planning, documentation, and verification activities;
  • Works with partners and PIP-II technical leads to ensure requirements, specifications, and interfaces for in-kind deliverables are coordinated and achieved.
  • Maintains and updates project planning documents (PPDs) required to coordinate international partnerships;
  • Responsible for tracking and updating in-kind deliverable milestones, working together with partners and L2/L3 managers;
  • Tracks progress of in-kind deliverables and works with partners on corrective action plans for variances;
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for technical integration between PIP-II at Fermilab and Partners;
  • Produces monthly status and other progress reports for in-kind deliverables;
  • Manages action items for the PIP-II international management team;
  • Helps coordinate PIP-II Executive Board meetings;
  • Works closely with the PIP-II Logistics Manager and project controls staff to ensure timely delivery of partners’ contributions to the PIP-II Project;
  • Works closely with the PIP-II Quality Assurance team to ensure partner quality control practices are consistent with the project requirements;

  • Other duties as assigned by the Technical Integration Manager;
  • Abides by and be responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
We Are Looking For:
Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field or equivalent experience plus minimum 10+ years’ experience; or equivalent. Relevant experience developing and integrating technically complex systems.
Applicable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Advanced knowledge and proficiency in the application of theories, concepts, principles, and methodology for the engineering discipline. Possess project planning and execution skills. Possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to perform a variety of complex and advanced engineering techniques. Experience on Department of Energy (DOE) projects under DOE O 413 is highly advantageous. Must be able to accommodate significant domestic and international travel.
