Reporting to the Executive Director Business Development and Quality Assurance, the Physician Recruiter is responsible for overseeing the design, development and implementation of strategies for recruitment services; interfaces with the NCH Medical Group & NCH Service line to establish physician recruitment needs. Responsible for organizing all recruitment processes. Employs creative mechanisms for connecting with residency programs and identifying other means of sourcing candidates. Links potential candidates to NCH Medical Group and NCH physician practices as appropriate. Identifies potential physicians and groups in the NCH medical staff community to enhance the employed model strategy. Actively participates in the contracting, placement onboarding & credentialing of recruited physicians. Participates in and supports the physician recruitment strategic growth plans of the organization.

1. Manages physician recruitment inclusive of sourcing coordination, site visits, referrals, contract management and on-boarding. Initiates and maintains communication with targeted residency programs to source candidates seeking positions. Also utilizes other means for sourcing candidates, including but not limited to on-line job banks and career fairs. Screens all candidates interview and links qualified candidates to NCH Medical Group and interested NCH physician practices as appropriate. Manages the recruiting process in coordination with NCH Medical Group representatives to facilitate interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes.

2. Participates in the development of the overall physician recruitment planning. Responsible for executing the physician recruitment plan. Oversees design, development and implementation of strategies for recruitment services. Ensures recruitment program strategies support business strategies and objectives.



3. Identifies key physicians in the service area who may be viable candidates for employment with NCH Medical Group. Recruits appropriate mix of physicians practicing within the service area and physicians joining existing NCH physician practices to meet designated physician recruitment goals. This includes independent physicians seeking employment or associated model, as well as potential group acquisitions. Actively participates with the ED on the investigative process with acquisitions.

4. Coordinates and participates and responsible for successful onboarding, credentialing and retirement processes with the acquisition and employment operational team. Guides recruited physicians throughout the application and credentialing process. Expedites credentialing by facilitating various credentialing functions in coordination with the Medical Staff Office. Familiarizes physicians with inpatient and outpatient services by planning and conducting tours and orientations to meet their specific needs based on their specialty.

5. Coordinates new business by maintaining organized outreach, follow through and relationships in the community. Provides consultation, data interpretation and gap analysis for recruitment needs. Conducts sales calls to select physicians in the NCH service area with a primary focus on recruiting them to join the medical staff. Assesses physician practice needs in relation to NCH service offerings. Tailors sales approach to effectively promote the full range of NCH services, with a focus on current organizational strategic initiatives. Maintains on-going contact with targeted physicians.

6. Works with other NCH staff to address operational or referral issues impacting non-staff physicians. Provides timely feedback and issue resolution to physicians with regular reports to ED. Identifies and reports on opportunities to enhance NCH service to non-staff physicians and increase physician satisfaction.

7. Performs various tasks to help facilitate the recruitment of targeted physicians to the NCH medical staff, as appropriate. Assists physicians in locating available office space, links physicians to various resources such as realtors or bankers and provides community information to candidates as needed. Coordinates meetings to transition all recruited physicians to outreach representatives.

8. Develops and implements reports, plans & projects to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness with all recruitment processes within the department. Monitors and reports status and progress to appropriate parties. Reports competitive and market intelligence information obtained through recruitment efforts.

9. Actively participates in physician educational programs, social events and activities as requested; promotes these activities to physicians as appropriate.

10. Adheres to all Northwest Community Hospital and department standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications


1. The level of knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelors Degree in Business.

2. Minimum 3 years previous physician sales experience. Direct physician recruiting experience highly preferred.

3. Personal computer experience required with proficiency in using Microsoft Office software programs including Word and Excel. Customer relationship management software and database experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of and ability to use various social media outlets as a vehicle for physician recruitment as appropriate.

4. Access to an automobile and a valid driver’s license.

5. Highly motivated, with the ability to be results-oriented while working in a team fashion with department and NCH staff members.

6. Highly developed interpersonal communication and presentation skills necessary to interact effectively with hospital staff and physicians;

7. The knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to provide ongoing excellent customer service.

8. The written and verbal communication skills necessary to draft correspondence and receive and respond to customer inquiries.

9. The organizational skills necessary to set priorities and work independently.

10. The analytical skills necessary to identify and diagnose problems, research the cause, and respond appropriately.

11. The ability and willingness to drive extensively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Moderate physical effort. May require continuous standing or walking. Requires frequent lifting or moving of average weight material, or occasional lifting or moving heavy weight material. Requires extensive periods of driving time.
2. The flow of work and character of duties involves normal mental and visual attention.
