First Choice Health Centers has an immediate opening for a full time Physician - Family Medicine (Manchester/East Hartford).

We are a rapidly growing nonprofit health center (FQHC) comprised of Physicians, PAs/NPs, Behavior Health Clinicians, Dentists and other health care personnel. Responsible for providing coordinated and quality primary care services to patients utilizing the clinical services of First Choice Health Centers (Center). Clinical services provided shall include routine, appropriate, acute and chronic disease care, ambulatory and gynecological care as assigned and as dictated by specific training certification and licensure. The Practitioner will be knowledgeable about agency and clinical policies, keep all patient information confidential, and shall assume responsibility for the development and realization of an individual ongoing care plan for all patients including the performance of selected procedures.

Experience:

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
• Ability to identify and categorize each patient’s age specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, child, adolescent, adult, or geriatric patients.
• Possess the ability to establish and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers.
• Ability to establish and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers.
• Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in response to changing clinical or administrative environments.
• Ability to function in a calm manner during stressful and emergency situations.

Skills:

• Experience in ambulatory primary care setting preferred
• Experience performing therapeutic procedures

Education:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Connecticut Department of Health License
• Federal and State Controlled Substance Licenses
• State Narcotic Registration (CTPMP)
• MAT Medication-Assisted Treatment) for Substance Use Disorders certified or willingness to certify as part of orientation.
• BLS Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $190,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
