PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OR FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER

NorthShore University HealthSystem Immediate Care Department is currently looking for highly motivated certified Physician Assistants and Family Nurse Practitioners to join their dynamic and growing team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast pace environment with a supportive group of clinicians, who are uniquely specialized in caring for immediate care patients. Our Immediate Care sites are equipped with on-site lab and digital imaging services. We offer a comprehensive 12-week orientation and onboarding program. Experienced and Illinois licensed new graduates welcomed to apply.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner, Immediate Care
  • Location: Skokie, IL. Travel to various sites in Cook and Lake Counties will be required.
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Mon – Fri between 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. & Sat – Sun between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Salary: $103,000 - $120,000; salary based on experience

What you will need:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited PA program or NP program
  • Licenses: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) in the State of IL; Physician Assistant License (PA) in the state of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance license.
  • Certification: NCCPA or ANCC/AANP certification; Family Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Experience with an EMR, excellent communication skills and the ability to anticipate and remain calm in stressful situations are an asset.
  • Prior APN/PA and procedural experience preferred
  • New graduate Illinois licensed FNP and PA with pending controlled substance licenses welcomed.

  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease
  • Promote wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities
  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
