Excellence Recruiting is seeking a Talented Physical Therapist to join a well-established, family-owned Physical Therapy practice. You will be partnering with a dedicated team of Physical Therapists in the fast-paced environment of their Fernley, NV practice.

This permanent position is full-time on-site, with a flexible work schedule 3 to 5 days a week between Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm. (30 hours to 40 hours based on your preferences).

Physical Therapist Position Overview:

The physical Therapist will report to the practice's owner.

You will provide therapy services to patients who have impairment, functional limitations, disabilities, or change in physical function resulting from injury, surgery or disease.

The practice has state of the art Physical Therapy equipments with private treatment rooms, a fully equipped exercise gym, a wound care area and a heated therapy pool.

Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

For every new patients:

• Review the information in the patient's file.
• Work with the Office Manager and Billing Assistant to ensure that all medical insurance authorizations are obtained and to ascertain any financial obligations for which patient will be responsible.
• Conduct a thorough evaluation of the patient and determine the best treatment plan, using the appropriate resources available, to address the patient's issues.
• Discuss the treatment plan with the patient and set up an appointment schedule in consultation with the receptionist and Office Manager. Current Patients:
• Determine if all or part treatment plan can be delegated to a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
• If applicable, instruct the PTA regarding the treatment plan and ensure that you evaluate the patient's progress on every 7th visit, or every 21 days whichever occurs first.
• Conduct the treatments as laid out in the treatment plan.
• Comply with all bloodborne pathogen and infection control procedures while conducting treatments 20
• Instruct and provide supervision to the PTAs and aides/technicians when conducting treatments for patients.
• Evaluate patients' progress on an ongoing basis and adjust treatment plan accordingly.
• Prepare progress reports for the referring physician as required.
• Keep all medical records current and accurate.
• Comply with all HIPAA requirements and policies.
• Liaise with the Office Manager and Billing Assistant regarding insurance requirements if additional appointments are required.
• Conduct a final evaluation of the patient. Prepare a home exercise plan (if required) and discuss it with the patient and/or caregiver.
• Document the discharge of the patient at the conclusion of the treatment plan. Advise the Office Manager of the discharge if it is a non-visit discharge of a Medicare patient. Print the discharge summary to be sent to the physician if necessary.

Physical Therapist Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Physical Therapy.
• A current Physical Therapist's license issued by the State of Nevada.

Be able to:

• Give clear instructions to patients and PTAs and aides/technicians.
• Show empathy and compassion.
• Pay attention to detail when compiling medical records.
• Show patience when dealing with patients.
• Operate independently and use initiative. Communicate effectively in writing.
• Demonstrate exercises for patients, assist patients on and off the treatment tables and exercise equipment and assist patients if they experience difficulties while in the pool or exercising.

Physical Therapist Compensation:

Our client offers compensation based on experience with a competitive salary range, a schedule that value your work-life balance and a great benefits package.

• Salary range between $80k and $100k based on experience.
