We are seeking an experienced PE teacher to implement a dynamic and rigorous PE curriculum. Our PE teacher will utilize the Florida CPALMS grade-level standards for Physical Education, as well as other resources as a guide to develop sound and effective grade-level PE lesson plans and units.
Physical education is a vital entry point, to help students gain confidence and build character. Physical Education is education by means of bodily-kinesthetic, movement-based approaches. PE aims to develop students' physical competence and knowledge of movement and safety, and their ability to use these to perform in a wide range of activities associated with the development of an active and healthy lifestyle.
Our entire DSAS experience is one that offers an opportunity to low-income students and families who might not otherwise afford a private school education. At DSAS, we cultivate a school climate that is friendly and inviting to students and families.
For the 2023-2024 school year, we are seeking highly qualified, professional PE teachers who are enthusiastic about being an integral part of our K-8 private school community.
The ideal candidate will have these qualities:
- Bachelor of Education degree
- One - three years PE teaching experience
- Proactive, respectful, and consistent classroom management
- Team-orientated and has excellent collaboration skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and takes initiative
- Competent in using and integrating technology
- Reflective and receptive to feedback for professional growth
