OVERVIEW:
As CR's in-house photographer you will create photo (and some video) content to be used on all our platforms and for our Communications and Marketing teams.

You'll report to the Manager, Creative Services and work closely with our Visual Editors and Art/Design Directors to present some of the 8500+ products, from appliances to wireless routers, we test and review in their best light.

This position requires you to work onsite at our facility in Yonkers, New York.

The images you capture, coupled with our ratings, help our 6MM members make informed decisions about the products they buy and the services they use.

You will be creating photographic and occasionally video content for all our outlets-including brand, print, digital, social, communications and marketing-primarily at CR's in-house studio. You'll be responsible for end to end photography work which entails set up, image capture, image processing, file naming and metadata, as well as, scheduling and shoot logistics.

ABOUT YOU:
You’ll Be Highly Rated If:

  • You bring the experience.
    We're looking for at least 5 years of professional photography experience in a high volume studio environment.
  • You've photographed products and portraits. Your experience includes photographing products and portraits with studio lighting, as well as people photos in environments.
  • Equipment expertise. You are proficient in the operation and use of professional camera systems, studio lighting and accessories, Mac computers, photo capture and editing software (Capture One, Lightroom, Photoshop, Media Encoder, others), as well as photographic technique in the studio and on location
  • You can meet the physical demands of the role. You are able to arrange camera and lighting equipment and move and position (sometimes heavy) products on set as needed.

  • You're on task and on time. Your organizational skills and the ability to use independent judgment in order to meet rigid deadlines.

The target salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range.
