POSITION DETAILS
Department: Laboratory Clinical
Location: US:PA:Lewisburg
Typical Work Schedule: Nights (7pm-7am, rotating weekends and holidays)
Primary Shift: Shift 3
Full Time Equivalent: 1.0 (full-time, 80 hours biweekly)
Exempt: No

SUMMARY
The Phlebotomist is responsible for receiving patients into blood drawing area for the purpose of withdrawing blood, assisting with urine collection, or performing throat cultures for tests that have been requested by the patient's physician.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Graduate from an accredited phlebotomy program preferred.
2. Phlebotomy training/experience, medical assisting or veterinary experience preferred. Must be able to pass color discrimination test.
3. Ability to become certified to perform chain of custody collection, rapid drug testing and breath alcohol collection within six months of hire date.
4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required.
