Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH), located in Blair, Nebraska, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team working full-time day hours and no weekends.

Job Summary

• Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
• Performs, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, a variety of routine and advanced technical duties related to preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining medication and supply inventory, processing for expired medications, and processes invoices and billing information, in addition to a variety of computer functions in accordance with standard procedures.
• Retrieves and interprets medication orders; performs pharmaceutical calculations; enters medication orders into pharmacy computer system for pharmacist’s review.
• Label, fill, and deliver medication to appropriate patient care locations.
• Accurately and aseptically prepares IV admixtures.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician and meets Nebraska Registration requirements and appropriate NE approved Pharmacy Technician Certification or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Current Basic Life Support certification preferred.
• One year of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
