Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Miramar, FL 33025

Positions: 01

Duration: 6 Months

Shift Time: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30 pm (shifts may be earlier or later on occasion and possibly a Saturday or Sunday morning on occasion)

Hours Day: Per-Diem (ideally 20-25 hours/week).

Job Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr

Responsibilities:

  • MUST HAVE: STERILE COMPOUNDING EXPERIENCE
  • Primary purpose and function of this position The purpose of the Pharmacy Technician is to assist the Pharmacy team in the day to day needs of the department and research clinic. The pharmacy technician participates in all aspects of WTI pharmaceutical operation including but not limited to receipt, inventory and proper handling of all Investigational Products (IP).
  • Proper documentation of all tasks performed i.e. IP preparation and/or compounding, procurement, dispensing and disposition of any IP or ancillary medication i.e. OTC, controlled substances, devices and supplies plus the maintenance and cleaning of equipment i.e. infusion pumps, balances, fume hood, CAI, etc. and Segregate Compounding Area (SCA).
  • Major duties and responsibilities that are critical and necessary, and that must be done to achieve this position’s overall objective ~ % of Time Proper handling and documentation of IP, supplies and/or devices (receipt, inventory, dispense, prepare, compound, dispose of, etc.), creation of labels, dispensing logs, QC logs and documents, Pharmacy binders, etc. 70% Follow-up i.e. sponsors or other team members,procurement, vendors, etc. and updating RSVP, accountability logs, etc. 10% Maintaining and/or cleaning of crash carts, equipment, SCA and Pharmacy. 10% Training i.e. study specific or Protocol review and training, Site Initiation Visits (SIV), GDP, GCP, SOP, EHS, etc. 10% Core competencies (five or six) that an incumbent needs to be successful in this position and that distinguish this position from others similar to it Autonomy

  • Education required:
  • High School Diploma, GED or higher Certification required
  • Registered as a pharmacy technician with the Florida Board of Pharmacy Years of experience required: Cleanroom or SCA and sterile compounding experience No research experience is needed to apply Specific type of experience required
  • Must comply with policies, procedures and training
  • Not tech phobic with basic computer skills
  • Love to learn and must be adaptable; this is research!
  • Good communication skills, “written and verbal”
  • Very detail oriented
  • Physical demands of cleaning and lifting of equipment and clinical supplies similar to other pharmacies

Job Type: Contract

Salary: Up to $25.00 per hour
