The Pharmacy Technician associate is eligible for weekly earned wage access. The schedule for this position is Mon-Thurs from 7am-5:30pm
Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will assist the pharmacists in the selection and preparation of medications for physician orders, stocking supplies, maintaining clean work environment, correctly delivering medications and assuring medication barcodes are scanned correctly.
This position is subject to the Supreme Court's mandate for the Covid-19 vaccination. The Choctaw Nation offers medical and/or religious exemptions to those who cannot get the vaccine.
You will report to the Pharmacy Manager
Primary Tasks:
You will order, verify the receipt of and store pharmaceuticals and supplies appropriately using the generic, brand names, and warehouse index numbers.
You will check the incoming stock orders, complete the receiving reports, ascertain all damage, overage or shortage and complete reports as required.
You will assist the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel.
You will perform monthly inspections of clinic care areas to check for outdated pharmaceuticals, proper storage conditions and appropriate stock levels.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
High school diploma or GED
Current Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license, or willing to undergo Phase I Technician training and obtain pharmacy technician license within 30 days of hire
