Responsibilities:

• Review appropriate clinical material (primary literature, clinical guidelines, etc.) to prepare medication review material for clients
• Prepare all clinical material for assigned P&T committee(s), including but not limited to: monographs, class reviews, new product reviews, and prior authorization criteria
• Present all relevant clinical material to Pre-P&T and P&T Committees as well as any other internal or external review required by assigned plan
• Review rebate opportunities and presents to assigned lines of business as appropriate
• Model expected financial savings/loss from potential formulary changes
• Conduct Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) and data analysis on plan utilization; makes recommendations on formulary improvements, based on findings and utilization
• Maintain plan formularies in online systems
• Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes in the pharmacy industry and evaluates their effect on pharmacy services
• Serve as a lead for following up and completing implementation tasks for new lines of business
• Respond to internal and external drug information questions
• Submit requests for coding changes
• Prepare formulary slides and presents at client quarterly and annual meetings
• Serve as the primary clinical point-of-contact for assigned lines of business
• Manage client’s formulary expectations
• Participate in client audits for assigned lines of business
• Support the submission of assigned formularies to regulatory bodies
• Represent the Formulary Department in multidisciplinary PerformRx meetings
• Attend required training
• Perform other job related duties and projects as assigned
• Domestic travel (up to 5%) as required

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• R.Ph; Pharm D. preferred
• Active/current pharmacy license in good standing is required
• Minimum one (1) year of current/recent managed care experience required
• Minimum three (3) years of current/recent professional pharmacy experience required
