Personal Computer/Video Teleconferencing Support Technician

Job Summary

Masser Technologies is a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) based in El Paso, Texas. We are an experienced technical services company dedicated to our clients and profession. We offer complete IT project and security-related managed services for our customers locally and across the country.

Masser Technologies employs Personal Computer Support (PCS) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Technicians at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. The PCS/VTC Technician will troubleshoot problems with desktop computers, network connectivity, phones, and other peripherals via phone, email, or in person until the work order is complete, including but not limited to hardware, software, maintaining Windows 7 operating systems, Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016 Suite, Creative Suites CS6 and Design Premium, Adobe Professional X and Adobe Professional Suite, and Microsoft Outlook setup. The PCS/VTC Technician will also set up, operate, perform troubleshooting, conduct inspections, and maintenance support on multiple classified and unclassified VTC systems.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and ability to track and resolve client trouble tickets via phone, remote, and desk-side technical support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard MS Windows desktop applications, wireless connectivity, and related network connectivity.
• Possess the capability to resolve client trouble tickets onsite in an independent manner.
• Provide personal computer support and audio/visual, problem analysis, and hardware/software installation and configuration.
• Knowledge and ability to work effectively with helpdesk ticket entry and tracking systems
• Ability to work on special installation/configuration projects while managing assigned trouble tickets.
• Review and evaluate requests to identify conference requirements and recommends plans for proposed VTCs by determining appropriate room, audiovisual, and presentation techniques and operational requirements.
• Operate live VTC sessions as required, meet all security policies and procedures, and properly close out conferences when completed.
• Monitor VTC equipment performance from the AV control room for the duration of the conference or meeting as required.
• Excellent customer service skills in daily customer interaction to ensure productivity; provides individual feedback.
• Able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Be lawfully employable in the United States.
• Possess a valid (State) driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Possess reliable transportation for travel to work assignments in the El Paso area.
• Current or Active Secret Clearance required.
• Valid and current CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Network+ Certification required.
• Valid and Current Windows 10 Configuring or Windows 10 Skillport Certificate a plus

Skills Required

Contractor personnel shall be capable of moving equipment such as computers and monitors, portable TV monitors, and equipment of similar size and weight, not to exceed 50 pounds. Other related tasks instructors shall be exposed to are recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or lifting items such as computers, printers, monitors, and boxes of books and printer paper.

Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner. A skill for attention to detail and accuracy is imperative. Able to meet deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Must demonstrate the skills, knowledge, abilities, and standards commensurate with all required certifications. An A+ Certification and/or Net+ Certification is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
