POSITION OVERVIEW:
Change agent responsible for coordinating improvement processes and training to create an environment of operational excellence. Manages and coordinates agency-wide efforts to ensure that performance management and quality improvement programs are developed and managed in alignment with best practices and operational requirements. Utilizes a data driven focus that sets priorities for improvements and ensures outcomes are aligned to our operational plans and ongoing strategic initiatives. Assures that organization-wide improvement initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness to achieve measurable positive financial impact.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review standard operating procedures and compare procedures to 'Best in Class'. Conduct training to ensure understanding and successful implementation of the enhanced procedures.
Hands on Work across all business lines focused analysis of processes and procedures to create initiatives for overall operational improvement.
Lead and/or participate in the implementation of daily management KPI's, assist in achieving targets, track performance against benchmarks.
Work with various cross functional teams to continuously develop and improve the most effective operational processes.
Initiate, develop and maintain Performance Excellence Action Plans related to continuous process improvement, change management and tracking of management gains.
Support management and facilitate changes at the site level to improve their existing processes and implement new procedures to drive increased efficiency and effectiveness.
Lead lean principles and continuous improvement methods (Kaizen) teams to guide and empower employees to identify improvements and thereby adopt change more readily.
Apply an effective problem-solving methodology to troubleshoot and resolve emergent problems and make improvement recommendations.
Review current processes or process inputs with a view to ensuring uniformity and standardization throughout the agency.
Standardized KPI’s and operations management methodology where anyone can rapidly recognize the area’s key performance standards.
Assists in implementation and compliance verification of operational requirements and regulatory and contractual obligations.
Provides general support and technical assistance related to assigned scope of responsibilities of contracts as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
BS degree in Engineering, or related degree with 5 or more years of performance management and quality improvement program experience or any job-related experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proficient knowledge of computer applications; Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously.
Possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License and be insurable by company carrier.
Ability to pass Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle driving record check.
Must be able to meet all required government security clearances.
Able to work a flexible schedule.
