Director of Performance Improvement (PI)

This position plans, coordinates, directs, and carries out activities related to the facility wide performance and quality improvement program and processes. Ensures the facility’s compliance with The Joint Commission, AHCA, DCF, OSHA and other regulatory agencies standards. Responds quickly and proactively to performance indicators and data, resulting in higher quality staffing and superior patient care. The PI Director audits records to ensure documentation is completed timely, effectively, and according to facility policy, to ensure facility staff is following established policies and procedures, and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, contracts, licensing standards and guidelines. This position oversees the collection and submission of all externally submitted performance measures.

Job Requirements:

· Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree (required) or Master’s degree (preferred) from an accredited college or university in a health related field or graduate of an accredited school of nursing

· Experience: Five (5) years clinical experience in a psychiatric inpatient facility with knowledge of Performance Improvement/Quality Management preferred. A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, AHCA, DCF, OSHA standards and any other applicable federal and state lasws and regulations governing mental health care facilities

· License/Certification: Preferred: Registered Nurse licensure; Preferred Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification

· Physical Requirements: Visual acuity, accurate hearing, extensive sitting most of the day, some standing. Must lift up to twenty (20) pounds and walk the campus periodically.
