SKY Facial Plastic Surgery has a private onsite surgery center for facial plastic surgeon Dr. Sirius K. Yoo. We currently have two per diem RNs who we've been working with for years. Both work at local hospitals and come here once or twice a week to assist with our surgery patients. Our RN who is primary on Monday mornings just graduated with her NP license - we need to fill her spot.

As a Per Diem RN, you'll check in the patient for surgery, place an IV, coordinate getting the patient into the operating room, place a Foley catheter (if required), help the anesthesiologist and surgeon ready the patient for surgery, circulate during the surgery, recover the patient from anesthesia, and discharge the patient.

You do not need previous experience circulating (we can train you), but we do require strong prior experience placing IVs and recovering patients from GENERAL anesthesia.

**We require COVID-19 vaccination and the available boosters in order to work onsite.**

STEP 1 | Are you the right fit?

• It's a little different than insurance-based work in a hospital environment. Our patients are paying out of pocket for elective surgery. For our patients, this is their "big day" and they are nervous. Kindness and compassion is key. If you're particularly talented at reassuring and calming patients or making a tense patient smile and relax, then we need your talent! : )
• We pride ourselves on finding the perfect balance between always being professional yet at the same time showing warmth and care on a friend-to-friend level. If you are talented at striking that balance, then we want to hear from you!

• Need to be okay with BOTH sitting AND standing for extended periods of time. The surgery cases are anywhere from 1 to 9 hours long and you will be in one spot in the operating room the majority of the time.

STEP 2 | Do you meet our minimum requirements?

• Do you have STRONG experience recovering patients from general anesthesia?
• Are you a PRO at placing IVs?
• Do you understand sterile technique?
• Do you have an active, clean, California license as a Registered Nurse?
• Are you currently ACLS certified?
• Are you currently CPR certified?

STEP 3 | Are you available?

• The primary shifts we are looking to fill is on MONDAYS: 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
• Note: We also have surgeries on Thursdays and Fridays, but our other per diem RN is primary on those days. If you are interested in those days but are not available on Mondays, we encourage you to sign up for our job alerts via our website.
• Located in 4S Ranch, in north country San Diego between Rancho Santa Fe and Rancho Bernardo.
