Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey is seeking energetic and enthusiastic Per Diem Program Delivery Coordinators to deliver high-quality experiential programs, series, and special events to girls ages 5-17.

Here’s What You Will Be Doing:

  • Interpret the Girl Scout Leadership Keys, Processes, and Outcomes and GSHNJ’s policies, procedures, and standards to deliver in-person and virtual program series or events to girls in grades K-12 as assigned.
  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, business processes, and workflows to maintain standards, staff efficiency, meet business demand, and achieve high levels of customer support and responsiveness.
  • Nurture relationships with girls and adults with the intent of encouraging them to become continuing members.
  • Engage parents, volunteers and community partners as necessary for the successful delivery or programs and workshops.
  • Engage in troubleshooting, problem solving, service recovery, and conflict resolution to maintain a customer-centric environment when necessary.
  • Respond appropriately to staff, member, and prospect inquiries via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Ensure Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by actively participating in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

Is this you?

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of girls ages 5-17, adult volunteers, parents and coworkers
  • Understands when and how to modify presentations and correspondence for different audiences and environments
  • Pays attention to detail when planning, implementing, and reporting on program events and recruitments
  • Able to communicates issues, obstacles, or opportunities that may impact plans; establishes courses of action for accomplishing goals while addressing unanticipated issues or obstacles
  • Ability to make sound decisions; recognizes when decisions should be escalated; recognizes when immediate action is required and takes appropriate action
  • Strong motivational, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • B.A. or relevant experience
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • 1st Aid/CPR/AED certified
  • 2-3 years of experience working with a youth services organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-browsing software. Ability to quickly learn new software applications as necessary
  • Flexible schedule - able to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift and manipulate up to 30 pounds of Girl Scouting products, supplies, or materials
  • Must pass GSHNJ background clearances
  • A valid driver's license, current insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle are required for travel between council properties and across entire service area as needed
  • Become a registered member of Girl Scouts and maintain membership for duration of employment

Our Work Environment:

GSHNJ’s service area covers all of Hudson, Essex, Union, Somerset, Hunterdon, and portions of Middlesex and Warren counties. GSHNJ operates offices in Westfield and North Branch, NJ; and maintains camp properties in Maplewood, Hillsborough, and Middleville, NJ. Employee meetings and work events may be held in any of these locations or others throughout council jurisdiction. Programming may be delivered in any community within GSHNJ’s service area, in a range of venues inside or out. Meetings with community partners may take place in their places of business.
