Job Description

We are looking for an Acquisition Recruiting Specialist to join our growing People team in our Deerfield, IL office. This position will implement creative research strategies and tactics to identify and evaluate talent that will improve and support LanzaJet’s growth strategies. As a key player in the development of research strategies for open requisitions and manage the process through the onboarding phase.

This role will work closely with the People team and hiring managers to fully understand their needs and generate candidate leads for full-time roles.

A People Acquisition Sourcing Specialist implements creative research strategies and tactics to identify and evaluate talent that will improve and support LanzaJet’s growth strategies. As a key player in the development of research strategies for open requisitions.

This role will work closely with the Talent team and hiring manager to fully understand their needs and generate candidate leads for full-time roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands on coordination of full cycle recruiting for LanzaJet
  • Manage the recruiting entire process from initial interview through onboarding stage
  • Search, source, and screen potential candidates, utilizing multiple resources (LinkedIn Recruiter, Network, job boards, etc.)
  • Focus on sourcing, attracting, and engaging passive prospects
  • Conduct phone, video and in-person interviews to thoroughly evaluate candidates
  • Have an involvement in the hiring process by prepping each candidate and the leader who is interviewing candidates
  • Research and shares critical market intelligence and talent insights
  • Develop talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Keep Inclusion & Diversity top of mind
  • Promote our LanzaJet’s brand
  • Attend and coordinate participation in local job fairs and university recruitment events
  • Manage LinkedIn projects and prospect talent on various job boards
  • Measure conversion rates, including the number of passive candidates who turn into applicants, get invited to interviews, get offers, and get hired.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • 3+ years of recruiting and creative sourcing expertise specifically in oil & gas, renewables or similar industries recruiting chemical engineers, project managers and global talent
  • Utilize referral networking, social media sourcing
  • Knowledge of recruiting components, including sourcing, qualifying, networking, and assessing candidate skills
  • Proficient MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook and in utilizing applicant tracking systems
  • An open, curious mind with the ability to learn quickly
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills, including a professional phone manner to get through gatekeepers
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and tact
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Available for travel to various recruiting events as needed.
