Description
General Statement of Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and administrating hourly payroll including: data collection; transmission to payroll services; and distribution of payroll checks / stubs to appropriate departments & employees.
Essential Duties (Other duties may be assigned as necessary)
Tracks deductions, special deductions (garnishments, bonds, EFTs), and pay adjustments (class adjusts, shift moves, terminations payouts, bereavement payments, etc) as needed.
Inputs changes to the payroll system as well as the time and attendance tracking system.
Resolves payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries.
Reconciles deductions and hours prior to payroll transmission. Transmits payroll when ready.
Handles all special payroll processes such as: vacation, holiday, and bonus payouts. Works with appropriate supervisors to ensure accuracy of special payouts.
Reviews all aspects of duties regarding payroll and recommends to Supervisor methods for improving the accuracy and / or the efficiency of the payroll system through the use of: spreadsheets, databases, computers or computer systems, or other appropriate technology.
Support the Plant quality systems/goals and productivity improvements/goals within the scope of the job.
Support the Plant safety programs/goals within the scope of the job.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Compliance with applicable Company, Corporate, State, and Federal regulations.
