Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full payroll cycle of the following payrolls:
    • Weekly hourly payroll.
    • Semi-monthly salaried payroll.
    • Quarterly gain sharing payment.
    • Annual bonus payment.
    • Other special payrolls.
  • Review and download times and information from the labor system. This includes reviewing times for proper approval and accuracy before processing the Elgin payroll. Knowledge of company policies is required. Will work closely with Human Resources and be available for employee payroll questions. Confidentiality of employee’s business and personal information is of the utmost importance.
  • Payroll tax reporting for each payroll including quarterly and yearly reporting to the federal & state governments.
  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll and labor reports including:
    • Weekly overtime reports.
    • Monthly wage and benefits report.
    • Monthly headcount report.
    • Temporary manpower hours worked by month.
    • Other payroll and labor reports requested by management.
  • Year-end payroll activities including:
    • Year-end close of the payroll files.
    • Updating the payroll files for the new year.
    • Balance and distribute W2 forms.
  • Update and maintain documentation of the payroll and invoicing processes.
  • Assist in audits performed by external auditors.
  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as required.

Position Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, or equivalent required
  • Two years of payroll processing experience required
  • Experience processing payroll in a manufacturing environment highly desirable
  • Proficiency using personal computers and Excel required.
  • UltiPro and Kronos experience is preferred.
  • JDE experience is preferred.
