Rogers Lake Association Patrol Boat Operator
Promotion, monitoring and maintaining safety on Rogers Lake is the number one priority of the Rogers Lake Authority (RLA).

The Patrol Boat Operator will operate the RLA Safety Patrol Boat to: ensure adherence to the rules for all users of the Lake and to operate safely.

This is a seasonal position from Memorial Day through mid-October.
The shifts are 3:30pm to 30 minutes after sunset; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, 10am -30 minutes after sunset; Saturdays, and Sundays and Monday
Holidays. Shifts are assigned based on the employee’s availability. Seasonal
Employees report to the Rogers Lake Safety Supervisor

Applicants must be able to meet the following requirements:

• Minimum age of 21
• Have a State of Connecticut Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation

(CPWO)

• Know and understand State of Connecticut DEEP boating regulations
• Know, and educate Lake users about the rules of Rogers Lake.
• Maintain/obtain CPR and basic First Aid Certification.
• Be willing to attend related training programs.
• Willing and able to promote, monitor and maintain safety of all users utilizing

Rogers Lake.

• Willing to work with Old Lyme authorities and CT DEEP enforcement.
• Have good interpersonal & communication skills
• Provide an image of confidence and act in a professional manner at all times.
• Maintain the patrol boat in a clean and organized manner.
• Maintain a log of activities per direction of Safety Supervisor. A Rogers Lake
