DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of management, the Patient Services Specialist III is responsible for providing clerical support, data entry, customer service, registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification and authorization for scheduled services within the Women's Pelvic Medicine clinic. Performs all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three (3) years of experience within a call center, front desk support, patient registration or related function.

  • Proven knowledge of third-party payors including federal, state and private health plans.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to problem solve by using good judgment.

  • Proficient computer skills.

  • Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working in a Women's Health clinic.
  • Uro/Gyn specialty experience.
  • Epic-Cadence experience.
  • Experience working at a large, complex healthcare setting.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
