Job Functions

Gastro Health, formerly Puget Sound Gastroenterology, has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time (Monday through Friday) Patient Services Representative to join our teams in Kirkland! We are a physician-directed organization providing comprehensive gastrointestinal medical services to patients and referring physicians in the Puget Sound area.

This focus has given our medical team an unparalleled expertise in this specialized area. Our entire staff is committed to providing the highest quality medical care that is appropriate to the needs of our patients. We provide this care with compassion and consideration for the comfort and concerns of those we serve.

In combating COVID-19 pandemic, Gastro Health is committed to providing a safe work environment to protect our employees by following the guidelines from the CDC and WA state health department requirements closely. All staff will be equipped with appropriate PPE.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and provide instruction and/or direct as necessary both on the phone and in-person
  • Schedule, reschedule and coordinate all patient appointments per clinic protocol
  • Answer phone calls courteously, collect and document detailed information, routing phone calls appropriately
  • Accurately review and complete medical and insurance information
  • Understand and deliver high-quality customer service consistent with Gastro Health's standards
  • Participate and contribute in a team-based environment
  • Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of patient health records and PHI
  • Adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced atmosphere, maintaining composure

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills
  • We will train!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with EMR applications preferred
