Job Summary:


We are looking for experienced Patient Services Representatives to join our call center team in Rutherford, NJ. Patient Services Representatives effectively manage calls that come in through the call queue by providing a high standard of service to Patients and Clients, facilitating first call resolution on all issues requiring to follow up and by representing our clients and CareCloud in the best possible way. The Patient Services Representative ensures HIPAA guidelines are respected for all calls by safeguarding protected health information in the capacity of the position and responsibilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to all callers through our call center system
  • Facilitate first call resolution on all issues some calls may require to follow up
  • Accurately update registration and follow appropriate billing guidelines
  • Guide callers on payment options, insurance processing fundamentals, and appropriate action during the call to facilitate timely payment
  • Demonstrate ability to work in multiple billing applications and credit card processing systems
  • Actively participate in communication with Management to support process improvement, team participation, personal development, compliance, patient and client satisfaction
  • Target and meet all call production benchmarks
  • Maintain a consistent and timely work schedule
  • Follow the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Understanding Explanation of Benefits and Medical Billing required
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Window Operating System, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent customer service skills, polite and professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
