Job Summary:

As a highly visible member of the Englewood Health team, this compassionate and enthusiastic individual possesses a genuine passion for facilitating safe, quality experiences for Englewood Heath patients, families, team members, and communities. This role serves to maintain the Patient and Family Concierge Program, facilitate communication via rounding and support the mission of the Patient and Family Engagement Department and aligns with our organizational commitment to Service Excellence.

Shift: Days
Hours: M-F /10am - 2 pm/11am - 3pm/ 12 pm - 4pm (Flexible Hours & No Weekends)


Principles Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Honors all non-clinical concierge item requests, proactively delivering tangibles and accurately documenting distribution location.
2. Maintains inventory of non-clinical concierge items, responsibly communicating par-levels with regular cadence.
3. Performs inpatient remote and bedside rounds.
4. Welcomes patients to the organization, identifies needs and appropriately connects patients to organizational resources.
5. Provides service recovery at the point of service, as needed.
6. Works effectively in pressured situations and consistently demonstrates the ability to remain calm while diffusing escalating situations.
7. Appropriately uses chain of command to escalate concerns and takes ownership in closing the loop in a timely and efficient manner.

8. Accurately and succinctly documents the events of rounding interactions in department specific electronic database.

9. Under the direction of the Coordinator, assists with the development and production of service line huddle/staff meeting materials, such as Huddle Highlights, aimed at accomplishing departmental objectives.

10. Supports the implementation of Patient Experience engagement initiatives, such as Thank You Thursday.

11. Facilitates the preparation, distribution and documentation of Heel the Soul inventory.

12. Triages incoming calls to main department phone line.

13. Assists in scheduling patients for Uber Health transportation.

14. Assists in patients’ sign up for the MyChart portal.

15. Bi-lingual Spanish or Korean a plus.

16. Other related duties, as assigned.


Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
