Responsibilities

What you'll do:
Provide patient care according to the Standards of Care defined within the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the policies and procedures of The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis Campus.
Effectively manages department/patient activities in a time efficient manner to ensure the delivery of care is well organized and proficient.
Provides quality customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.


Qualifications
What you'll bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant through the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Prior work experience in a comparable health care setting is preferred
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and to perform direct patient care and basic nursing procedures
  • Ability to interpret and communicate data relevant to patients’ needs and responses to care
